For over twenty-five years, acclaimed photographer Sally Soames of London's Sunday Times has eloquently recorded the faces of novelists, poets, essayists, and playwrights. Using only natural light, she displays a rare skill, revealing in her subjects something of their "ability to create, influence, teach, weave magic." In capturing the light in their eyes, she captures, too, the light that illuminates their words.
