CHP Signs Long Island Author, Rebecca Benison, for Adult Thriller

Chicken House Press has just secured author Rebecca Benison of Long Island, New York for her debut female-led novel, HARVEST CRUISE, a gripping adult thriller.

A professional storyteller, Benison’s weekdays are spent connecting with audiences on behalf of brands, while her nights and weekends are devoted to fiction. Her work has been published in the Workers Write! literary journal, Empyrean Literary Magazine, Newsday, the Long Island Herald, and a host of other publications.

HARVEST CRUISE — a contemporary novel with an ominous undertone, appealing to fans of Heather Graham with a spark of the female angst and dark humour Helen Fielding is celebrated for — is projected for an early 2024 release.

When Geri, an introverted writer who would rather stay at home, is pulled along when her boss wins two passes for a single’s cruise, she thinks she’s taking steps towards expanding her circle. What begins as an uncomfortable but enticing foray into a world of awkward flirting and adventure, quickly becomes a frightening fight for survival when it is revealed that a free cruise might actually cost her life.

With kidnappings, murder, and conspiracy, Geri finds herself in the middle of a story she had never imagined writing.

Watch this space as a travel adventure like no other prepares to set sail.
